Candice Murray, VP of Editorial for Shutterstock, will be talking to ELLE UK’s Editor-in-Chief Farrah Storr, providing a personal perspective from women who have built successful careers in the media and publishing industry. Our speakers will provide insights into the challenges they see confronting women working in our sector today along with practical advice from their own experiences. This session will also focus on innovative ideas for individuals and businesses seeking more diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

Candice Murray is Vice President of Editorial at Shutterstock where she oversees the operations and growth of the company's global editorial business. Candice leads an internationally distributed team in delivering an outstanding customer and contributor experience. She has over 20 years of business development expertise and has a successful track record of organically growing new business for companies in publishing, media and licensing. Prior to Shutterstock, Candice was the Executive Director of Content Licensing at Condé Nast.

Farrah Storr is the Editor-in-Chief of Elle. Prior to this, Farrah was the Editor in Chief of Cosmopolitan from July 2015 until April 2019 and in that time, Farrah grew the brand to become the No.1 UK women’s glossy. Previously, Farrah was the launch Editor of Women’s Health magazine. Under her direction, Women’s Health became the most successful women’s magazine launch of the decade. Her achievements were recognised by the British Society for Magazine Editors when she won the prestigious award ‘New Editor of the Year’ in 2014. Most recently, Farrah was awarded Editor of the Year at the 2018 PPA Awards, Editor of the Year (Men’s & Women’s category) at the 2018 BSMEs, and was also named as one of the 36 BAME people on the Guardian’s list of the 1,000 most powerful people in Britain. She is one of the judges for the Orwell Foundation’s, Orwell Prize for Exposing Britain’s Social Evils and is the author of The Discomfort Zone (Piatkus).
