HOW BLOCKCHAIN CAN INVIGORATE CONSUMER PUBLISHING

BREAKFAST BRIEFING HOSTED BY THE COPYRIGHT LICENSING AGENCY (CLA)
AND
CURATED BY BYTE THE BOOK

When it comes to technology each generation has certain transformational technologies that emerge. In the past these were mass television, mobile phones, and the internet. The new transformational emerging technologies set to reframe how we work are Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain.

It's early days but the signs are that Blockchain could have a major impact in many areas of our lives, including identity, IP management, financial services and music.

The technologies behind Blockchain introduce possibilities for developing new business models in many sectors including publishing, especially around revenue, value, ownership and rights management.

This event is aimed at consumer publishers' commercial, marketing and digital teams and offers them new ways to monetise and democratise their content to benefit their bottom line.

DURING THIS SESSION WE WILL COVER:

1. What Blockchain is, and the technology behind it
2. How this technology can be applied to a publishing business
3. Examples of new business models that help grow customers and revenues
4. What publishers can do right now to take advantage of it
